Next we'll visit Victoria Hill, where the Victoria Quartz Mining Company once operated the deepest gold mine in the world—a true marvel of engineering and ambition. Ms Batterhams – Taco & Cider 

Your journey begins in the stylish basement of the historic All Saints School at Ms Batterhams. Known for its elegance and charm, this venue adopts a festive Mexican twist during Fiesta Bendigo. Here, you'll savour a delicious, flavour-packed taco paired perfectly with a crisp Harcourt cider, setting the stage for an afternoon of culinary delight.

Wine Bank on View – Wine Tasting & Tostada 

Next, you’ll experience the grandeur of the majestic 1870s Union Bank, now the renowned Wine Bank on View. Here, a wine connoisseur will guide you through a tasting of three specially selected regional wines, each sip complemented by an enticing prawn tostada, crafted to celebrate Fiesta Bendigo. The experience highlights the exceptional produce and refined culinary skills found in Bendigo.

Bendigo Brewing – Beer Tasting & Frida-Inspired Pizza 

Your third stop leads you into the hidden gem of Bendigo Brewing, situated in the vibrant historic Chinese precinct. Known for small-batch craft beers brewed with local ingredients and their distinctive house yeast, 'Venus,' this boutique brewery offers a curated beer tasting experience. The Dispensary – Taco & Tequila Tasting

The tour concludes at The Dispensary, nestled in Chancery Lane with its cosy, charming, and character-rich atmosphere. This venue’s bold approach to flavour shines as you taste a succulent lamb taco, paired impeccably with a tequila tasting. Your senses will be further enriched by the fascinating folk tale of Mayahuel, the Aztec Goddess of the Agave plant, ensuring a captivating and memorable finish to your afternoon.

Throughout the tour, Frida Kahlo’s spirit is beautifully interwoven, adding artistic flair and colourful anecdotes from her extraordinary life. Tours depart every Saturday at 2 PM from the Capital Theatre steps, beside the Bendigo Art Gallery. The experience is limited to just 10 guests, ensuring a personalized, enjoyable experience for all participants.
